Job Tracking for Farmers – made easy

Working rurally means your team is often spread across large geographical areas, multiple properties, or on jobs with unique risks and requirements. This can make it difficult to understand what jobs your staff are working on, and what sort of progress they’re making.

With our job management feature property managers can create jobs in the app for workers to assign to themselves upon login. Once they’ve finished the job, they can mark it off as completed and move onto the next one.

Why use software for job management on the farm?

Farm management software streamlines your on-farm processes, helping you to reduce paperwork and create efficiencies around health and safety, and compliance.

Onside simplifies the safety briefing and induction process with digital check-in questions and check-in rules. As a property manager, or app administrator, you’re able to upload key information to each job type, ensuring vital information about farm protocols, practices and procedures is automatically communicated to those specialist workers.

Ditch the job tracking spreadsheets

Job tracking spreadsheets have been the standard for many farm managers and property managers. But with the complexities of compliance, and the management of multiple properties and workers a challenge for businesses, Onside can help you rely less on the spreadsheet and save time with digital tools.

Use the job management feature to keep accurate records about activity on farm, measure productivity and performance, and track labour and production costs. Then when reporting time comes around, you can use the Onside admin portal to download customised, time-bound reports; giving you visibility of what was happening on farm and when. Reports can be exported in CSV and PDF file types. There’s also an option to combine your reports if you have multiple properties in a consolidated CSV.

Your farm management companion

When your workers or contractors arrive on site they will be automatically prompted to check in on their mobile phone thanks to our geo-fencing capabilities

When you’re managing a team who are geographically spread it can be hard to get visibility of what jobs are on the go. Onside prompts all sign-ins to select a job from a predefined list upon login.

Property managers can then login to the Onside admin portal to see a map visualisation of where there have been check-ins across their properties.

If someone seems to be taking too long on a job, you can message them via the app to see how they’re getting on.

Property managers can also enable end-of-day notifications to prompt workers to sign out. If they don’t sign out, it’s a sure-fire sign they need to be contacted and their wellbeing determined.

Staff can be given viewing rights to see who is on the property and what job they are working on. Onside can also enable notifications for staff to alert them when a visitor checks-in or out, risks or incidents are reported, unwanted check-in question responses are given, as well as determining what they should be able to access.
