Your new Incident management dashboard has arrived

Users with an Onside Teams subscription now have an essential tool in their accounts – an Incident dashboard.

If your staff have reported an incident on any property they visit, you can now manage it right from your new Incident dashboard.
Click on an incident to add more information and keep on top of it.

Faster navigation? Yes please!

If you’ve got a few properties in your Onside account or use Groups, from time to time you may have found it tricky to find exactly the property you’re looking for.

We’ve now added a search bar to speed things up for you. Simply start typing the name or address of the property.

Introducing...Express Check-in!

To keep check-in quick, easy and informative, we’re introducing Express Check-in.

Repeat contractors, visitors and property staff have been telling us that check-in has been getting longer. Especially when functions like Check-in Questions are enabled.

Express Check-in will make check-in faster, while still ensuring details are accurate.

How it works:

  • A repeat visitor will be asked if they want to use check-in info from their last check-in
  • They can confirm or alter it
  • They’ve now checked-in quickly and easily

You can now log in without a password

In this day and age it feels like we all have 101 passwords. Many of our users have told us how much easier it would be if they simply didn’t need to use a password at all, so that’s exactly what we did.

You can now log in, password-free, using the new Magic Link button. From the Onside app, as soon as you tap the next button after entering your email, you’ll be sent a SMS link to check-in. However, you can also get a link via email or simply use your password.

This is priced at an affordable monthly cost of $39 +GST per property subscription.

Improvements to Risk Management

Based on user feedback, we’ve made a few changes to Risk Management that we believe will fall more inline with the Health and Safety at Work Act and WorkSafe requirements.

The changes bring better clarity of the risk severity, urgency, and priority by providing suggestions for what should be done at each level.

Archiving risks

If you have eliminated or dismissed any risks, you can now see them from the Eliminated Risks and Dismissed Reports buttons in the risk register of your property in your Onside web portal.

Help grow the Onside network

Inviting people to Onside is nothing new, Property and Company Admins have been able to do this for a long time. But what if you don’t manage a property? What if you’re a contractor?

We’ve now added a share button, available to all Onside users.

Know someone in your industry who could really benefit from using Onside? Sharing is only a couple of taps away.
Tap the side menu in the app to get sharing.

The Onside App now has a QR code scanner

Earlier this year we gave property managers the option of downloading QR codes for their properties, another quick and easy way for visitors to check-in.

We’ve heard from our users that having the QR code reader in the Onside app would also be super handy, especially for phone’s that don’t have the QR reader built in. You’ll now find the QR reader button to the right of the property search bar.

Note: Our QR code reader will only read Onside QR codes.

Contractor job lists are now available!

You or your team may have checked in to a property only to find the property manager/owner hasn’t set a list of jobs to choose from. This can be problematic if you’re checking in a group of people or you’ll be doing a high-risk job.

Good news! Company Admins of companies with Onside Teams can now set a job list for their team. This means, regardless of the property their staff check-in to, they can choose from the list set for their company in Onside.

Enable yours now. If you don’t have Onside Teams, find out more here or give us a call 1800 112334.

Got a task that needs doing, but your contractor hasn’t downloaded the Onside app yet? Not to worry, we have just the solution.

Improved End of Day Notifications

Property admins will now be alerted via the Onside app to any visitors still checked in to their properties 30 minutes after the visitors’ alert (so they have time to check-out).

Company admins also have the option of receiving these alerts.

Have your Company admin activate End of Day Notifications from the Company settings in your Onside Web Portal.

Emergency plans, now with wardens

If an emergency happens on a property, it’s critical everyone knows who to report to.

We’ve now added ‘Wardens’ to the Emergency Plan to allow you to do exactly that, as well as a second first aid contact.

Update your Emergency Plan now from your Onside Web Portal.

Check-in distance now added

From time to time a visitor may check-in incorrectly. Perhaps they were just wanting to check the risks of the property before arriving, or maybe it was the wrong property all together. You can now see if your visitor was Onsite, 200m+, 1km+, or 10km away when they checked in.

Simply generate a visitor report from your Onside Web Portal to find out.

Company Admin risk and incident notifications

Company admins can now get risk and incident notifications and emails.

With the release of this feature, as a Company Admin you can now choose to get risk and incident alerts for all of your properties, without having to be added into the team of that property. This will save you a bunch of time on account setup and changes.

Enable it from the Company Settings tab.

June 2021

Quick and easy QR codes

With QR codes now commonplace and everyone now familiar with them, you may find visitors requesting to check-in this way. Alternatively, your visitor may not have the Onside app yet and needs a quick check-in solution.

We’ve now added property specific QR codes you can download, ready to be printed out.

The visitor simply scans the code and it will take them through the check-in process including Risks and Rules.

Find your QR codes in the ‘Info’ tab of your property in the web portal.

Contactless Kiosks are now available

If you have an Onside Kiosk on your property, visitors can now scan a QR code using their phone to go through a contactless check-in.

If the visitor has the Onside app installed on their phone, it will take them directly to checking in to your property via the app.

Enable the QR code from the ‘Kiosk’ tab of your property via the web portal.
